Capital Materials is seeking a Superintendent for our Asphalt Crushing Operation which processes material for several asphalt plants around the central Missouri area. The Crusher Operations Superintendent will be responsible for working as a shift foreman with two to three crews to oversee the operation of the crushing and screening plants, as well as the conveying and stacking systems.
Responsibilities
The Crusher Operations Supervisor will be responsible for two to three operating crews once production is under way as set out below:
- Responsible for shift operations at two to three crushing sites.
- Supervise the work of personnel engaged in performing routine operations at the crushers
- Work with Project Managers and assist in coordinating the production schedule
- Plan and coordinate daily work assignments to achieve daily/monthly/annual production targets
- Responsible for quality assurance and quality control to ensure safe and consistent production results
- Work closely with maintenance personnel to properly identify and schedule maintenance activities
- Perform equipment repairs as needed and source outside support when necessary
- Be responsible for the safe operation of the crusher areas during the shift, with regular safety training of personnel and safety meetings to target a zero level of incidents

JOB DUTIES:

General Summary of Position: Capital Paving and Construction is looking for a Safety Coordinator to implement, manage, and monitor safety programs, policies, and procedures that meet OSHA requirements. This position will oversee all DOT and commercial paving jobs and bridge and earthworks projects to ensure they are meeting OSHA standards and following company safety policies. These projects will be located in central Missouri.
This individual must be an experienced safety specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the environmental services industry. This individual must be skilled in Hazard Analysis, CPR Instruction, Safety Training, Incident Investigation, and Lock Out Tag Out
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Assist with executing our safety strategy and zero accident culture for the assigned business unit

General Summary of Position: The Scheduler will be part of a cross-functional team environment and be charged with maintaining accurate project schedules. Capital Paving and Construction is looking to fill several General Laborer positions for our heavy highway and bridge projects that will begin in April in the Southeast Colorado area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and fix traffic control on weekends, as needed
- Assists in the construction, maintenance, testing and/or repair of the construction projects.
- Performs heavy manual labor including, digging, lifting, climbing, carrying and installation under varying weather conditions while exposed to dampness, fumes, dust, electrical, mechanical and traffic hazards.
- Assists with building, sealing, cleaning, and adjusting manholes, frames and covers, and roadway construction.
- Operates various hand tools, including but not limited to jackhammer, demo saws, paint brushes, pick, shovel, survey equipment, bull floats, rakes, wrenches, and various hand tools.
- Operates power equipment including, but not limited to air compressors, pavement breakers, tampers, vibrators, vacuum pumps, and various other type pumps.
- Participates in traffic control and fills in as a traffic control flagger, when needed.
- Access inside of manholes, enter confined spaces, and work from ladders
- Participates in stand-by duties, which involves working alone or with coworkers at night, weekends, and holidays to resolve situations that occur after normal business hours.
- Demonstrates knowledge of, or the ability to learn, safety rules and equipment including identification of precautions for an emergency response to chemical, electrical, and mechanical hazards, and asphyxiating, toxic, and explosive gases and vapors.
- Demonstrates good workmanship in a neat and timely manner.
- Must be able to work in a variety of positions throughout the day including standing, stooping, bending at the waist, at waist level, shoulder height and above the head.
- Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a good attendance record.
- These positions will work primarily outdoors, exposed to inclement weather, and in the proximity of chemical, electrical, and mechanical hazards.

Capital Paving & Construction is looking to hire Heavy Equipment Operators for our heavy highway and bridge projects that will begin in April in the Southeast Colorado area. They are expected to assist in the general operation of each job site.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner under varying weather conditions, while exposed to dampness, fumes, dust, electrical, mechanical and traffic hazards
- Operate one or more of the following pieces of heavy construction equipment skillfully, safely, and in accordance with traffic laws and regulations: scrapers, heavy graders, motor graders or blades, large trenchers, rock cutters, front end loaders (four cubic yards and over), heavy steel wheeled rollers, bulldozers and other light weight, medium weight, and heavy-duty equipment
- Routine maintenance on the equipment, to include keeping equipment clean and operable
- Communicate with foreman and coworkers regarding the daily job specifications.
- Operate power driven machinery such as jack hammer, tamper, or other similarly sized equipment.
- Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary
- Work with powered and non-powered hand tools (i.e. rakes, shovels, etc.)
- Work in a variety of positions throughout the day including standing, stooping, bending at the waist, at waist level, shoulder height and above the head
- Perform general labor duties when necessary
