Drew Leary is a Project Manager for the Capital Paving & Construction team!

Although Drew has managed to embody safety on the daily for many years now, his response to a recent incident further shows his commitment to staying educated on safe practices.

Early this year, when a teammate began experiencing a medical emergency, Drew and other project managers were quick to respond – some preparing the AED, others performing CPR, and others notifying and ensuring the emergency responders knew the location, all demonstrating the training and preparedness they have received as a CPC employees. Their rapid response and coordination played a crucial role in providing the necessary assistance until EMS professionals arrived at the scene.

Without a moment’s hesitation, they were able to assess the situation and execute what was necessary to ensure the safety of their teammate.

Furthermore, Drew’s commitment to safety extends beyond this incident. During discussions about bidding, work plans, and other matters, he consistently brings up safety and ensures that a comprehensive plan is in place. His proactive approach and emphasis on safety in his conversations with owners demonstrates his dedication to creating a safe working environment. Additionally, Drew leads by example, practicing safe measures himself and advocating for safety among his colleagues.

With years of dedicated service, she fearlessly tackles the tedious yet crucial tasks that keep our operations running smoothly. Juggling roles from communication with asphalt plants and paving crews to being our diligent RSO, she ensures that reporting on the use and transport of specialized equipment is done efficiently. A dependable leader, her creativity fuels sustainable initiatives and her reliability is second to none. Rachel never misses a chance to celebrate her teammates, all while maintaining a steady and precise approach to her work!

Mike runs our Fabrication/Maintenance crew for Capital Materials! His commitment, honesty, and unyielding dedication throughout the last five years has not gone unnoticed. Mike has shown us what true integrity looks like, facing challenges head-on with honesty and resilience. Mike has been a driving force, leading his team with unwavering determination and knowledge. From navigating outdated or impaired equipment to battling training hurdles, Mike has tackled every situation while refusing to cut corners. His ability to find positivity, even in the toughest situations, is commendable!
